Long-term nanny position - Tuesdays and Wednesdays - 2yo & 4 yo - Golden Beach
Let me introduce to you our wee Kiwi family of four; my husband and I have a son who is almost 4 years old, and a daughter who is 2 years old. We have recently relocated from Wanaka, New Zealand to Golden Beach, Caloundra to be closer to family. We will be on the Sunshine Coast for 8 months while my husband undergoes medical treatment, and because my husband will be immunocompromised, we have chosen to keep our children out of daycare. Their little worlds have been turned upside down, and so we are looking for a nanny is kind, caring and nurturing to help guide them through this chapter of their lives. The start date for this position is ASAP; we can be flexible for a few weeks, but ideally we are wanting someone who can start soon. Because of our unique situation, consistency is the most important thing to us. We are looking for a nanny who is willing to commit to the next 8 months (until May 2025) while we go through treatment, and who is reliable - we can't take the children to the hospital with us, and we can't reschedule treatments. We are looking for someone for a regular Tuesday and Wednesday, and also be flexible to cover Monday, Thursday and Friday if our other nanny is not able to work. As my husband will be immunocompromised, ideally our nanny will be a well individual who is not often sick, and who is not regularly exposed to all the usual daycare bugs. We are looking for a nanny who of course will ensure our children are safe, respected and nurtured. We will prepare their meals, but we ask that the nanny assist with light housekeeping tasks that are related to the children (i.e. cleaning up after their meals, tidying play activities, helping with washing etc.). You will need to be able to drive to activities, and support with a distance-learning preschool curriculum, as well as plan fun local extracurricular activities. Additionally, I'd appreciate help with the occasional support with family tasks, such as running errands or picking up the odd thing from the grocery store.
