Kirsty Carter. Also known as the positive, happy, traveller who can not wipe the smile off her face! Absolutely love working with kids! Hey, my Name is Kirsty. I am 22 years old and I have grown up in Melbourne my whole life. I live with my Mum, Dad and 24 year old brother. I enjoy travelling the world and for the past two years have worked at a summer camp in America. This requires me to be a role model to 400 girls. The girls stay for 3 weeks and a half, with two sessions of different girls. So over the 7 weeks I grow a strong bond with them. I lived in the bunk with the children, they refer to me as 'mom'. Ever since working at the camp I have an amazing bond with children and love working with them. I still keep in contact with my 40 daughters throughout the year and will be attending camp for my third year as a counsellor next year. I have also done babysitting while working on a tropical island up north called Hamilton Island. I feel as though I have a lot of background with working with kids and I love every minute spent with them. I have my American Lifeguard Certificate which also covers level 2 First Aid.
