Hi, my name is Tessa! I have been baby sitting for 11 years and currently a student at UON studying psychology :)

I have been babysitting neighbours and friends children and friends of friends children since I was in year seven. I am an older sister to a younger sister and have always loved looking after little ones, even as a young kid myself.

I have extensive experience with kids of many backgrounds including those with special needs varying from adhd to cerebral palsy, including type one diabetic. I have babysat up to seven kids at a time, from seperate families who were friends, to large families who had many children. I have babysat children from the ages of 1 up to the age of 12.

I also have experience nannying children as I have worked for a teacher who had me organise her children to and from school during the week and to extra-curricular activities.

I have a keen interest in children and believe they provide one of the richest learning environments for us as adults. I put great effort into garnering rapport with the children I look after and encourage not only respect but friendship, having kept in touch with children I have looked after who have since grown into teenagers who babysit themselves.

I have a working with children check and a police check and am willing to answer any and all questions you may have regarding myself or my resume. I am looking for work while I complete my degree in psychology that will fit flexibly into my busy university schedule and responsibilities.
