Parents love my positive can-do attitude and patience. I am also very creative and think up all sorts of ways I can keep the kids entertained which makes it easier on mum and dad. Parents like my sense of humour and gentle nature. Parents have told me they appreciate my willingness to go above and beyond.

The kids in my care have always told me how much they enjoy it when I read to them and play music for them. I play piano and flute, and in homes where there is a piano, I have been able to teach some simple melodies. Kids like me for my warm and friendly nature, and enthusiasm to get involved in activities they enjoy.

I love it because I get the chance to interact with adorable kids, keep them safe, and be a role model. I also find babysitting can be very therapeutic. I love just being able to forget about any stress in my life and devote my hours to making sure the kids have fun. Being around children puts me in a cheerful mood and at the end of the day I find the work very rewarding.
