I'm Zara, I'm 20, and I am currently working as a childcare trainee and casual babysitter and looking for more families to work for on the weekends.

I currently babysit casually for a family with two pre teens and a baby. I love working with children of all age ranges, from babies to toddlers to preteens. I'm more than happy to cook, clean, and help kids with homework, tutor, or just do whatever the kids feel up for, depending on your needs.


I have studied a year of a Bachelor of Education, teaching me about childhood development, literacy and more. I am now studying my Cert III in Children's Services while I work full time as a Trainee Room Assistant at an excellent childcare centre for children 6 months to 6 years old. I have also recently volunteered with the Smith Family's reading club in a local primary school, tutoring kids who need a bit of extra help learning to read fluently. Through my paid and volunteer work I have gained a working with children's check and a police check. I also have a Cert II in kitchen operations, so you can trust me to whip up a great lunch or dinner!


I'm very pet-friendly and am happy to feed, walk, and clean up after any pets in your home. I have no allergies and have experience taking care of most common pets so you can trust me to treat them well. Kids I've worked for can also vouch for the fact that I'm a pretty good unwanted-bug-catcher-and-remover... even the scary ones.


While babysitting I love to play board games with the kids, or even video games (though they may have to teach me how to play!), do craft, cook, or just do whatever they're up for. I'm able to tutor or provide homework help if you'd like, and I'm an excellent bedtime story reader.


My rates are negotiable and fair. I'm available at short notice, for one-time jobs, or regular sitting. Unfortunately, I don't have a car at the moment so I am only able to sit for you if I can get to your house by public transport from Green Point, but I should have my own transport soon.


As stated, I have a wwcc, a police check, and I also have a Cert II in Kitchen Operations, so I'm capable and happy to cook for your kids, or even help them learn to cook a few recipes. I'm hoping to do my first aid training in the next few weeks.
